Date: September 8th, 2019 (RALLY DAY)
Location: Centennial Park North Shelter!
(901 S Holiday Dr, Waunakee, WI 53597)
Time: 9:00 AM Worship with church potluck to follow
Why are we having an outdoor service on September 8th?
We never need a reason to celebrate but the weekend after Labor Day kicks off the church’s fall ministries. That’s why we call it “Rally Day” and so it’s time to have some fun!
What time is does church start?
Will we be having more than one worship service?
Nope. This will be the last weekend of the 9:00 worship service. On September 15th we will go back to the 8:00 and 10:30 worship schedule with the 9:15 Christian Growth hour (Youth, Sunday School, and Adult Bible study).
That makes sense…should I bring a chair?
Yes! You don’t want to get stuck sitting on a picnic table for worship. Bring a comfy chair to sit in!
Will there be communion that day?
Nope. This is a change to our normal communion schedule.
Besides being outside, is there anything special about this worship service?
Yep, I’ll be commissioning all our ministry leaders in worship that day. So, after the offering, I’ll call up the Children’s Ministry leaders, Sunday School teachers, Youth Leaders, Men’s and Women’s group leaders to commission them in their roles and give a blessing on their ministries!
What about the potluck? Should I bring something?
Absolutely! In classic potluck tradition, we’ll be kicking off the potluck in style. Bring a main dish, a side dish or a dessert to share. (Brats will be provided)
What about drinks?
Bottled water will be provided. If you want something different, please bring it from home.
What about plates and silverware?
The church will provide that!
If I bring a crock-pot, will there be a place to plug it in?
Yep. Outlets are available.
What else is there to do after church?
There’s a playground for the kids and Pastor Joel is bringing a couple of outdoor yard games (Cornhole/Beanbags and Ohio Style Washers!). If you have any other fun outside games to share be sure to bring them!
What if it rains?
Pray that it doesn’t. But seriously…there’s a pavilion, so even if the rain cuts the picnic short, but we’ll have the worship service for sure. Dress for the weather.
